Little Tote Bag
Something different from me this week, I have got the sewing machine out. It literally hasn't seen the light of day for 10 years at least, possibly more.
So onto the flower, I bought a Kanzashi flower maker whilst on holiday last summer, and I have finally broken it out of the package - and have to say it really is great. They are so simple to make and quite addictive - but I nnow need more things to put them on, not so sure brooches are really the way to go? http://www.clover-usa.com/en/17-kanzashi-flower-makers This one was my first attempt, have done a few more now.
This is the actual one I used: http://www.clover-usa.com/en/kanzashi-flower-makers/380-kanzashi-flower-maker-round-petal-small-2-inches.html
I started out by making a curtain to cover the open shelf in my new craft room, I am awaiting a new pole to complete it - so will take a photo later. But as I was at the fabric stall I decided to buy a metre of fabric and searched around the internet for inspiration and found this cute mini tote - see on my pinterest board the yellow one.
The instructions are really easy to follow and it is fully lined so that all the ends are neatly tucked away.
.......and have now made another with a bright pink flower this time.

And a few more from the past

And these are all very girlie, as you can see.
It is my turn to 'man' the Ampthill Country Market stall today, check out the link to the blog on the top menu. If you are local it would be lovely to see you at the stall. And if you make, bake or grow you could join us.

I have started looking around at some blogs, and started adding them onto here so that I can check them out from time to time.

Simple

And here are a couple of similar cards with one ink pad, and no other colours. I loved just choosing the colours and papers and keeping it simple. The white card is a textured card..

Some cards from last year

I bought these 3 stamps together from Lili of the Valley stamps, and clearly made with summer in mind..I have loads of little flowers and loads of beads - and I need to use some of them up to make some room!

Bike

I am just sharing a couple of cards I made last year...I know you have already seen the bike stamp this year,...
....but I just love the bike stamp that I bought whilst on holiday last summer, so pretty.. I have seen bikes used in real gardens covered in flowers, they look really effective.
Have to say the paper was perfect with this stamp.

AfternoonTea

You really must visit Cakestand and Crumb if you have not been before, they do fabulous light lunches and gorgeous cakes, along with afternoon teas :)
It is nice to be able to sell a few cards means I can buy more stuff and make more cards!
I even got the eyelets out for this one, not used them in ages.....

March Time to Create

So following my major tidy up I have been inspired to get card making again...although still tidying and sorting...so this morning I have posted the TTC.

The light seems to be not so good, I should have ventured outside to take a photo as it is a beautiful sunny day this morning.
Not quite retro, but has beads so good enough to show.
Which reminds me I subscribed to year on Ancestry - I have been doing my family tree for years now on and off, and I see that they have many new records on there, so in between crafting I get sidetracked wandering around on there.
